Cheap Health Cover - Health Insurance

Apple of the Eye Investing Daily

As of this week, I’m officially in awe of Apple (NasdaqGS: AAPL).

Of course, I’ve become accustomed to the notion that Apple has a knack for designing products that consumers want to own and like to use. The latest example: US consumers are so desperate to buy the company’s new iPad tablet computer that Apple has been forced to delay the international launch.

Meanwhile, buyers in India and Australia are reportedly unwilling to wait for the official international launch--they’re paying as much as $2,300 for $499 units purchased and flown in directly from the US. Israel has banned the iPad due to concerns about radio interference from its Wi-fi capability, but 10 people reportedly have been caught attempting to bring iPads into the country.

And it’s tough not to be impressed by the stock’s performance. Over the past decade Apple is up roughly 658 percent, while the S&P 500 has lost roughly 3.5 percent. I’ve easily read two dozen negative articles about Apple over that timeframe but the numbers speak for themselves--even the most ardent bears must admit that the company is doing something right.
